Project Profile: 1.27 MW DC PGC21

Maryland Community Solar

The 1.27 MW DC PGC21 Community Solar Project was awarded to TurningPoint Energy as part of the State of Maryland’s Community Solar Pilot Program. TPE developed the project and selected Cypress Creek Renewables as the EPC. Nautilus Solar Energy is the long-term owner and operator.

The project is one of three MD Community Solar Projects completed by TPE in 2019.

TPE and its partners:

  • Hired local: Local labor and subcontractors were used for legal, consulting, engineering, construction, and land development aspects of the project.
  • Supported the community: TPE has pledged to donate a total of $90,000 to local organizations in conjunction with the three MD projects, including Mission of Love Charities, Frederick Douglas High School, Greater Washington Community Foundation, Community Support Systems, Bowie Interfaith Pantry and Emergency Fund, and the Police District Citizens Advisory Council.
