Borough of Ephrata Solar Project

In 2017, the Borough of Ephrata selected TurningPoint Energy as the project developer for a 3.9 MW DC (3.5 MW AC) behind-the-meter solar project. The Borough is 3.5 square miles and has 13,300 residents.

TurningPoint Energy fully developed the project and partnered with DEPCOM Power for engineering, procurement, construction and financing services. The Ephrata Solar project was completed in May 2019, and is the second collaboration between TurningPoint Energy, DEPCOM, and Monarch Private Capital working with a distribution utility.

As part of our commitment to community investment, TPE:

  • Gave back: TPE donated $5,000 to Ephrata Cloister Associates. Ephrata Cloister Associates works in partnership with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, supporting the mission of preservation and education at Ephrata Cloister, one of 26 historic sites and museums on the Pennsylvania Trail of History.
