The Agnes Project – Community Solar
In 2019, TurningPoint Energy completed the development of Concho Valley Electric Cooperative’s first community solar power plant, The Agnes Project (1.3 MW DC/1 MW AC), was completed in collaboration with Axium Solar and Kenyon Energy.
The clean energy produced by the facility is sold under a power purchase agreement to Concho Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC), which serves 7,155 Members in 10 Texas counties.
Texas contractor Axium Solar provided EPC services. Kenyon Energy supplied permanent financing. Bay4 Energy provides ongoing operations and maintenance.
TPE and its partners:
- Hired local: The project supported 50 jobs in Texas in the form of consultants, engineers, construction and related workers, and will generate additional property tax revenue for Irion County.
- Gave back: TPE donated $1,000 to the Oaks of Life Retreat. The Oaks of Life Retreat is a non-profit organization in West Texas that hosts healing retreats for the widows of U.S. soldiers.
